Estimates and quotes

Water test results and any written quote we provide are based on conditions measured at the time of the visit. Water chemistry changes — particularly on private wells and seasonally. A quote is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise on the document itself.

Scope of work

Work performed is limited to what is itemised on the signed quote. Anything found once work begins — pre-existing plumbing defects, undisclosed equipment, inaccessible shut-offs — is raised with you and quoted separately before it is carried out. We do not proceed with extra work without your approval.

Permits and code

Water treatment installation is plumbing work and is governed by the Massachusetts plumbing code. Where your town requires a permit, we pull it, and that cost is included in the quoted price rather than added afterwards.

Testing and laboratories

Massachusetts requires a MassDEP-certified laboratory for drinking water analysis. We use one. In-home testing measures hardness, pH, chlorine or chloramine, iron and total dissolved solids, and is not a substitute for certified laboratory analysis of PFAS, arsenic, radon, nitrate or bacteria.

Warranty

Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty. Our installation workmanship is warranted separately — the term is stated on your invoice. Warranty on treatment performance assumes the maintenance schedule on your invoice is followed, including filter and media changes and annual UV lamp replacement.

Limitation

We are not responsible for pre-existing plumbing conditions, for water quality changes arising from your well, your utility or the aquifer after installation, or for damage caused by equipment being operated outside its stated flow rate and capacity.
